Book Review: God Gave Us Two (Picture Book)
God Gave Us Two by Lisa Tawn Bergren is adorable. The sweet illustrations of Laura J. Bryant bring you back to the simplicity and wonder of childhood. The story involves two bears trying to explain to their little bear son why Mama is about to have another bear and how special that is.
As Mama and Papa Bear prepare for a new baby, Little Bear is confused and at times, nervous as many children are when a sibling is about to be born. They explain that God gave us you and now he’s going to give us two, meaning another baby. In the end it’s actually twins which are born so there are three. This math can be confusing for younger children but the message of the story remains the same. It’s a darling little book which is fun to read over and over again. Reading this story actually made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. It’s just really cute.
I highly recommend adding this one to your library if you’re expecting another child and want to read to your oldest child about the transition ahead to comfort them in knowing it’s a wonderful thing and you will still love them just as much. Simple, to the point and sweet like the smile of a child….a book to treasure.

Book Review: How To Write A Book Proposal
When I saw this as a book to review this month I was thrilled just reading the title, How To Write A Book Proposal. Since I have several books in the works and will be ready to start promoting and marketing a couple in coming months this couldn’t have been better timing. Michael Larson has sold over 100,000 copies of this book and I can see why, it’s a gem.
This third edition of the original book is packed with valuable tips, examples and new information on how to develop the best book proposal possible and what to do with it. Broken down into twenty-five distinct chapters, Larsen takes through every detail of the perfect proposal. Reading this I realized how cluelessly wrong my proposals would have been had I not read this. I would have never been published. Thank you Mr. Larsen for such a wonderful book full of practical applications and tips for contract winning book proposals.
I look forward to putting these tactics into action soon. If you’re thinking about writing a book or submitting your great idea into the world you need to read this book first. It will save you a lot of headaches and hopefully get you pointed in the right direction to make your publishing dreams a reality.
